Our Mission
The 1776 Owens Foundation is deeply committed to demonstrating gratitude and respect for our country's military veterans, law enforcement, firefighters and their families. Through special events and programs, we will be reminding our communities of those who sacrifice to safeguard and protect the liberties granted the citizens of our great country. Our events and programs will be rooted in fundraising activities so that our board can carefully select or build programs that will have the greatest impact on those who have served - and earned - the respect of all Americans.
Most fundraising will be associated with and surrounding a specific event. However, donations may be made at ANY time and done simply at this website, by means of Venmo, PayPal or directly with a credit or debit card. As a 501(c)(3), all donations are tax deductible.
To maximize our organization’s ability to identify the unique needs of these heroes, our Board of Directors and staff will always include representation from those who have served directly in military service and police or firefighting services. In addition to developing ways to better support the needs of these heroes, our Board will always be dedicated to building memorable events, especially for our youth, so that more people begin to recognize the importance of the service these heroes have provided and why honoring them is so vital to protecting our heritage.
